Classic Facts

20,000 original miles... High quality, dual stage repainted Bright Red exterior with black racing stripes and correct factory black bucket seat and console interior... Excellent Restored condition...

Just arrived, this fabulous El Camino SS is a real head turner. Built in Los Angeles in September 1969, this incredible El Camino was built as a true SS, equipped with a LS5 / 454 and factory air.

Restored in California in 1992 at 120K miles, the owner installed a new crate LS6, with 454 cubic inches and 450 horsepower. Originally, the car was coded 75 cranberry red (there was no bright red for Chevrolet in 1970) and 755 trim code, a black bench seat interior.

During the restoration, the vehicle was repainted bright red with black stripes on the cowl induction hood. The black bench seat interior was converted to the correct black bucket seat / console interior.

Although not perfect and driven about 20K miles in the 20 years since its frame-off restoration, this incredibly rare El Camino SS is still in the condition to win a local AACA in 2006 and a national AACA award in 2008. This El Camino SS is equipped with a factory rebuilt Turbo 400 transmission and 12 bolt rear end.

2008 AACA NATIONA AWARD WINNER!
